The Childs Custom Guitar Company was started in 2002 by myself, Mark J. Childs. I have been a collector of guitars and have played in bands for many years. I have a great passion for playing, collecting and now building guitars. I have also been selling "Solar Etched" art (which is burned into wood by using the sun's rays and magnifying glasses) since the seventies and I am now applying this type of art to guitars also.
These are custom finished guitars made from top quality parts. The bodies are etched, stained and a durable waterborne lacquer finish is applied. This process takes over 100 hours and sometimes much more to complete depending on the design. The guitars will be posted on the Guitar Gallery page as they become available.
